While subscribing to the essential principles and machinations of the genre (influences such as Bullet For My Valentine, Bring Me The Horizon and Bad Omens), the group also pushes the misery index into new realms, incorporating the works of pessimistic German philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer and quasi-nihilist philosopher Emil Cioran of Romania.
