With their (until further notice) swan-song album in 2007, 'Astral Daggers', Lionel Murphy and Sebastien Laroux pulled out all the stops. "We doubled our budget compared to our other albums," Lionel says, "we didn't know that it might our final one, but we went all out with studios, gear, catering..." Sebastien jumps in: "we brought in a didgeridoo orchestra for one song. It was madness!"
At the time, the album received mixed reviews, and the duo began to contemplate their future. "We decided to take a break from each other, but we should've put a time limit on it," Lionel realizes. "Sebastien became an in-demand architect by inputing music through AutoCAD and building what comes out of that. Me? I emcee and DJ parties for children of the ultra-rich. It's amazing what remixes you can make combining Wiggles with early Depeche Mode!".
