Some folks are cat or dog parents, Brainhammer lead singer Bjørn Svendsen is a proud eagle papa. "I have a 20-acre farm about an hour's drive from Stockholm, and a few years ago when I was checking my sugar beet crop, I stumbled across an injured White-Tailed eagle - she must have just learned how to fly and crashed landed. I nursed her back to health and Valkyrie and I have been inseparable ever since."
Bjørn has discovered some parallels between Valkyrie and his band. "White-Tailed eagles are the alpha predator almost everywhere they go, like Brainhammer is the alpha predator of metal music. And if anyone says otherwise, send them my way. Plus a bird of prey's attack technique is usually surgical yet vicious, like us. I love that bird... I just wish I could bring her on tour with me. Say, can eagles be emotional support animals?"
