Absolute Deathification "Conjunctivitis Of The Soul" tour shirt
The 'Conjunctivitis Of The Soul' tour in 2015-16 took Absolute Deathification through Scandinavia (Denmark, Norway and Sweden), a hotbed for metal music. "We travelled by tour bus and pretended we were Vikings," drummer Johann Schlibe recalls. "We mounted a drakkar figurehead to the bus but would get stopped constantly by the police, until they realized who we were. But a few selfies here and a few autographs there and we'd be back on the road to pillage once again!"
Now, what does the band mean by conjunctivitis of one's soul? "Well, a few years ago when the entire band came down with pink eye at the same time (who knows from where - rock n' roll, eh?), we researched what it was and thought we could transfer that same pus-filled infection vibe to losing one's soul. In fact, whenever one of us comes down with something, we make a song about it. A sickness-influenced EP might be released soon!"
